A couple of questions:
Have you applied something already, that uses Motion Tracking?
What are you wishing to have Track Motion? Your desired outcome, and the steps used, could have a bearing on how it will work.
Have you set the object to Track?
No, I have applied no motion tracking. I just want to track people (like in the Adobe demo) and have a word ballon follow them. I cannot select objects to track because when I hit the Tracking mode button nothing happens.
Have you opened the Motion Track workspace and created a tracking object? Have you selected a clip on your timeline and positioned the CTI over it before you opened the Motion Track workspace?
You really need to tell us more about what you HAVE done in order for us to help you. There's more to creating motion tracking than "hitting" the Tracking mode button.
Also, what model of camcorder is your video coming from and which project settings are you using for your Premiere Elements project?
I don;t think I am explaining myself well. I can't access ANY motion tracking controls at all. I am following Adobe's tutorial exactly. If I hit the tracking mode button I do not get the workspace (if I hit the pan and scan mode button I do get that workspace however).
I don't know what you mean when you say you're following Adobe's tutorial exactly.
Can you tell me which steps you're taking and answer the questions I've posted above.
Do you click to select a clip on your timeline before you try to click the bouncing yellow ball icon along the top of the timeline.
