Hi all. For prior projects I did not mind using premiere Pro's scaling for some 720p footage I had shot which needed to match 1080p.
This current project... Ugh. It is ugly. I really do see a great deal of stairstepping, moire like patterns, etc.
All the 720p footage was shot 60fps and needs to be converted to 30 (which After Effects handles nicely) and then upscaled to 1080p. Should I do this in After Effects (haven't found how yet) or is there a way to do this in Premiere Pro that I have not found as of yet which results in smoother, less troublesome video?
I have CS5 production Premium on a PC.
You'll probably be better off downscaling the 1080 stuff.
Ugh. I have only about 1 minute of 720p out of53 minutes. That would really rot.
Eh, depends on how you plan to deliver. You really need a 50" TV or larger to start to see any difference between 720 and 1080.
