    Auto linking timelines

    Pijetro Community Member

Okay, so i've got about 100 timelines that need linking...They're obviously short runs of mp4 footage off of a still cam...

That being said, i import all the mp4's as timelines, but have a heck of a time trying to link all the end actions to each other..

      Is there a faster way?

          Nope.  Manually is it.

Try creating a playlist and just drag them in.

I'm not sure what method may ensure they go into the playlist in your preferred order, or if  you need to drag them in one at a time.

I'm not sure if a max of 99 timelines can be put in one playlist.

Yeah, I'll give it a try...

Actually, i went to the flowchart, and started manually dragging all timelines to the orphaned timelines on the bottom...That seems to be quicker, but my system gets bogged down.

The problem is with all these consumer cams. Whenever i get this kind of footage, I cringe..

I know Encore is up to the task, but it's not automated, nor was it intended for this stuff...

If i was to use Sony's, Canon's or JVC's software, i'm sure their software would allow for one click authouring, but i'm not going down that road.
