I am a FW noob so this may be a dumb question.
I have a line drawing that I have created with the Pen tool (the outline of a shark). Then a drew a fin shape which overlapped the bottom part of the shark drawing.
How do I delete the part of the first path that is underneath the second path (i.e. how do I delete the part of the shark's body outline under the fin)? I can see no intuitive way of doing this.
So essentially what I want to do is just delete a portion of a path which is in the middle of that path.
Have you tried the Knife tool? You could also paint over the line with the line or path tool.
You could use the knife tool to cut and delete the part of the curve you don't need but for a quick solution when your picture can change its recommended to just give the fin part a white fill and place it above the body part. This way the fin automatically overlaps the body as in real life.
