I don't think that post really answers my question:
I need to visually present grouping columns by creating a bold line around it,
and don't need a summary.
My data is not really hierarchial but flat,
although I have to display it as hierarchial.
So not sure that is relevant.
Once again, this is a simple grouping sample for ADG,
it is NOT relevant to my case:
I need to group some ADG columns visually,
i.e. embolden some vertical lines (but not others),
but avoid creating multiple header rows, just one level (not 2).
Do you understand what I am saying?
So how can I draw a solid thick line around AdvancedDataGridColumnGroup in ADG?
I tried a lot of things, nothing worked. :-(
Any help is very appreciated.
I am trying to apply the Rectangle to ADGColumnGroup.
Is that correct approach?
It still shows nothing.
Here is the code:
<s:Rect width="100%" height="100%">
<s:SolidColorStroke weight="5" color="black"/>
<mx:AdvancedDataGridColumn dataField="field1" editable="false" headerText="USA" width="35" textAlign="right" headerRenderer="DataTableHeaderRenderer" />
<mx:AdvancedDataGridColumn dataField="field2" editable="false" headerText="Canada" width="35" textAlign="right" headerRenderer="DataTableHeaderRenderer" />
Does it make sense to you?
How can I set borderThickness of AdvancedDataGridColumnGroup ?
Doesn't seem to work through styleFunction - it removes the context text of included ADGColumns.
Can I do it in itemRenderer ? Any code samples?
Or can I use BorderContainer in an itemRenderer of ADGColumnGroup?
If I place ADGColumns inside it, Flex compiler shows errors like
ADGColumn declaration must be contained within <Declaration> tag,
since it's not assignable to the the default property's element type IVisualElement.
How can I declare ADGColumn outside it's DataGrid?
Sorry, I am fairly new to Flex4.
