I have 4GB RAM and lots of hard disk room. Why can't I see a thumbnail view of my video clip in the orgainzer. All I see is a thumbnail view with an hour-glass. I need to double click the hour-glass then click play to see the clip. The video clips were taken with a Sanyo Xacti HD. In Premiere Elements Editor the best settings is: NTSC-AVCHD-AVCHD LITE 720p30.
I use to do all my editing in iMovie and thumbnail clip generation was not an issue.
I don't have this issue with my Windows 7 laptop, different operating system.
Could this be a Mac/Adobe issue only?
I also run PS CS5 and LR3 with no problems. I also have the latest verison of Quicktime movie 10.0 (131)
Thanks for any help and suggestions.
Called Tech support and resolved my issue. Basically my catalog was corrupted. So, on my Mac I went to File>Catalog... opens the Catalog Manager, click NEW... give it a name then click OK.
Good news, and thank you for sharing the fix, as it will likely help others.
Staying on the Thumbnail track with Mac OS. I saw in a tutorial for PE 9 the possibility to change the thumbnails in the organizer window. With changing I don't mean the size but the part of the clip PE uses as thumbnail. Is this feature still available in PE 10? Or is it not available for the Mac version? I haven't been able to find it yet?
Thx for ur answer in advance.
