Johannes Eckert Nov 21, 2011 10:11 AM (in response to Bob Levine)No, the thread was started by someone else having a similar problem, I just cross-posted my video as an answer to that thread, because it looks related.

Tomek Kuczborski Nov 21, 2011 1:06 PM (in response to Johannes Eckert)Ha! Johannes!
I am working on a new project now, and I was hit by exactly the same madness. I used a large source file – customer's 200 pp document for print, dated 6 month ago. I created several files in new format using web intent. And I copied the content of print document into the new files (on page by page basis). I closed the original fiie. Yet, every now and then, whenever I click some elements on pages in one of the new files – the original file opens!
I have never seen anything like this before. Instead of reporting it here, I just zipped the hyperactive file;-)
Cheers,
Tomek

Yellow Christian Nov 21, 2011 2:21 PM (in response to Tomek Kuczborski)Me too. Put it down to a bad doc but had the same symptoms as Tomek. Didn't matter where I clicked it would open the same doc?

mobly Nov 22, 2011 12:56 AM (in response to Yellow Christian)I've had this twice as well, I think I copied a piece of content from an old indesign file into the new doc, and then everytine it was click on the old indesign file opened.
Very annoying, can't remember how I got rid of it, either by restarting indesign, or just deleting the content, any quite bizarre, has anyone told Adobe?

E_Bos Feb 25, 2013 7:52 AM (in response to mobly)Same here, not hard to reproduce. From time to time it even loops and keeps opening the document. At that time I need to force quit the program and close xx number of restored documents.
At this moment a 'fix' is renaming the document it opens.
