You guys were so quick on the draw with my last question (Thank You!) I figured I'd give this a shot.
I've been building my PDFs as "interactive" for some time now so I was surprised to find most of the links in my book's (.indb) TOC do not work. They are links as evidenced by the cursor changing to the hand with pointing finger.
The TOC is in the book's first document (the keeper of the styles). The TOC builds perfectly across the book. Only the links that are actually IN the first document work. The rest just silently fail.
It's a bug...
Hoping the elipsis means there's more to come ... ? Workaround?
Sorry, didn't mean to mislead you.
It's a bug. It's been reported. For the moment, all you can do is either export to print falvored PDF and lose some interactive features, or put the book together into a single document for export to PDF (interactive). The last, by the way, also has an advantage if you work in facing pages and use the default state of interactive export that always makes spreads (and there's no way not to without running the script that's floating around). With a book, an interactive PDF does not combine the last page of one chapter with the first page of the following chapter.
