One of our interns is having a challenging time. He's added the audio denoiser filter to a series of interview clips (shot in four different locations) on a fairly simple timeline. Whenever he opens the effects panel to tweak the filter on one of the clips, Premiere crashes. There were no crashes before the audio denoiser filter was added to a clip. We've both scoured the web and can't find anything related.
iMac i5 quad core, 17 gig memory, RAID 5 OWC connected via firewire 800, Snow Leopard 10.6.8, Premiere Pro 5.5 (just updated to ...2 and still having the crash) Footage is from a Canon 60D at 24p
Note: I have posted this at Creative Cow, but we're getting no answers and desperately need to finish this project. Thanks for your help!
I've had so many problems with the Denoiser that I've stopped using it. I've had instability and also a strange issue where it sounds like the person is speaking underwater when I export the sequence. Rendering doesn't help.
All you can do is report the issues to Adobe and hope they fix them soon:
Thanks Jon, we are new to Premiere having recently switched from FCP. So are you using Audition for cleaning up noise, with no instability issues back in Premiere?
