I've received some drawings of buildings we are building from our contractor and would like to print them "to scale". The drawing properties show the drawings to be on 24 x 18 inch paper and my printer can only handle 11 x 17 inch paper. "Fit to printing area" or whatever it is scales to 60%. The drawing is 1/2" = 1' and the only thing I can get is a 60% scale which doesn't fit any normal arch. or engineering scale.
How can I scale a file/drawing to an exact/custom scale? I have Reader X and Acrobat X Pro and Distiller X Pro, as well as a bunch of other "PDF reader" programs that I've tried to no avail. Help.
You could crop the page into the 4 quadrants and print each quadrant at a time without scaling. You would then have to piece the parts together.
