I have skinned a Halo DateField component so it matches the look-and-feel of my Spark TextInputs by doing the following:
However, the error color isn't picked up on validation for the DateField (it works perfectly for the TextInput). Is there any way to achieve this?
DateField uses an mx:TextInput, and I don’t think you can make a skin that works for both s:TextInput and mx:TextInput.
Well, you can, because that's exactly what I've done by using the CSS above (note that I use the borderSkin property for the textinput part of the DateField, rather than just a skin-class). The mx:DateField's TextInput looks identical to any s:TextInput that I have.
My issue is the error color not showing up when validation fails for the DateField.
It might work, but isn’t supported. And the way mx components show invalidation might be different than spark components.
