AdvancedDataGrid: determine if last row in list

Hello. I'm trying to build a custom itemRenderer with arrow images to bump the sort order of each entry up or down in the list/database. Everything is functioning fine, but I'd like to gray out the "move down" arrow on the last row, and gray out the "move up" arrow in the first row.

New to Flex/ActionScript, and not sure how to determine from inside the item renderer class if the current row is the last in the list (so I can provide a different image source). From digging around, seems to have something to do with listData or DataGridListData, but not sure how to get to those properties and the info about the entire data provider.

Thanks in advance... I assume it's a silly question.
