I have been trying to download Reader X onto Windows XP. Shortly after I click RUN in the file download box the download starts but within secondsit ABORTS. The error message reads: ABORT: Certificate authentication failed, please reinstall to correct the problem. I have tryied to reinstall but the download only ABOTS again. Does anyone have an idea how I can successfully download Reader X?
Download the installation file to your local machine and then install it from there. If you're using Internet Explorer, choose "Save".
Just wanted to say thanks for the help. I also had to unlock the publisher (i.e., adobe). I would not have had this difficulty if adobe would get a new autthentication certificate issued by one of the reputable places that do that so I feel Adobe has some work to do to follow normal procedures in releasing software.
