    PPD

      Hi Guys,

I am loading print preset in Indesign CS5 but it shows an POP up message shown below.

Indesign cannot locate the PPD specified by the preset. Would u like to use the Device Independent PPD.

      What does it mean?

      Thanks

      Siddiq

It means that the preset is calling for a specific Postscript printer, and that printer is apparently not installed on your system, so one has to wonder why you would be using the preset? Perhaps you just need to install the Postscript driver for a device that has been running on PCL or another language up to now.
