Create character style from text object

      Hi all,

I am starting from a global selection and for some reason I want to create a characterStyle based on first character. The straightforward approach would be to select the character object and create style. But I don't want to get an ugly flashing fx as finally I need to keep my global selection.

DOM doesn't seem to offer something like characterStyles.add(characters[0]) where style would inherit of all character properties, does it ?

Or do I have to write a function that lists every possible style property for the character and then apply to newly created style ?

      TIA Loic
