I have been given the following dimensions for my final video: 197x148. AE doesn't want to export to an odd numbered dimension ( it wants a multiple of 2).
As best I can tell, this isn't possible - but Microsoft requested a wmv at these dimensions.. do more experienced folk here have any thoughts?
I will reconfirm the dimensions (again) tomorrow, but want to make sure I'm not missing something obvious, when I tell them "It's not possible."
You're not missing anything. In particular CS5/ CS5.5 have some limitations due to having to use some adapter code for some CoDecs that are 32bit. You'll have to use other tools like e.g. ProCoder to deal with such odd sizes.
Thanks - good to know!
I did try some other converters - one crashed, and the other one auto converted my size to 198 from 197. So there might be limitations with the codec above and beyond what AE is able to do.
I don't have access to ProCoder - anyone want to see if they can make a 197x148 .wmv
