Are you using Flash Builder when you get the error message? Or what software & version?
I have the flash builder 4.5.1 and i updated the flex sdk from 4.5 to 4.6.
The problem is, on Flash Builder, when i go to design mode i got this error:
"The Design Mode is disabled as the project uses an incompatible version of the flex sdk."
If i update the project to use the old version of flex sdk (4.5.1) works fine. But when change to flex sdk (4.6) this error happens.
Download latest version of Flash Builder 4.6 - just released.
Uninstall FB 4.5.1 (it keeps workplace preferences)
It includes latest flex sdk 4.6 (and Air 3.0+)

Thanks for the help.
But i cant download this version, when i go to adobe's website, made my login the button "Download Now" seems to be disabled.
I tried in 3 browsers, Mozila Aurora, IE 9 and Chrome.
I think that adobe blocked the download for a while or something im my account is wrong.
Works for me - downloaded last night.
Worked when I just tried now at https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=flash_builder
You have to login with your Adobe account - are popups disabled?
I used Firefox 8 on Windows 7
This is strange...
When i click in the button "Download Now" the popup comes and i put the id and password.
After that when i clicked in thu button again, nothing happens. Tried in other machine. Seems that something in the network is blocking this download. I tried other downloads as eclipse, per example, and function normally.
Discovery the cause. The browser was blocking the popup to install the AkamaiDLM, once i installed this the download of flash builder 4.6 starts.
Thank you for the help.
I will install this new version and see what happens to design mode.
Once again, thank you.
