I'm not sure what you are saying. If you imported anotehr project, all its assets and the comp are still editable items. you just need to open it...
All I am saying is that I have made 2 distinct compositions. I want to place them side-by-side on one timeline to save the whole stuff as ONE .avi. Is that possible?
Start a new composition, drag both your existing compositions into the new one, scale or otherwise position your two nested compositions. EZ as pie.
Dear Mr. Gerard,
Good to hear from you again.
What do 'scaling' and 'positioning' mean in this context? 'EZ as pie' also means nothing to me. You know, I am new to AE. I import the two compositions and then I am stuck. Could you give a litte bit more detail, please?
I take it you are importing projects not compositions. If that is the case import both your projects. Then select the two comps from within your two projects and drag them both to an empty timeline.
Once both comps are in a new composition you can select the top one, press the S key, then scale and select it and over around in the composition window.
This is all really basic stuff. Make sure you go to the training materials on the website.
I save my work as an AE project, everything works out just fine (I can easily import it into a new composition)!
Thank you very much, Mr. Gerard. Adobe as well as AE users must be happy to have you.
