En contraire, probably not. Uninstalls do not change, delete and fix user configurations, so nothing changes. Whatever issues you are having are probably specific to your system and caused by bad configuration inside the program or your system's audio hardware. Since you didn't mention what program, nobody can advise any further. In any case, ask such specific questions in the forums for the products, not here.
Thanks for your quick response. I continued looking at different settings, and found that I had left the audio setting in the window for watching clips on an external monitor,
I had forgotten to change the setting to the computer. Made the change, and the audio is audible now!
