I'm very concerned about the level of market penetration for Flash 10.2.
I'm writing a Flex web application and I either need to target Flex 3.0 which uses Flash Player 9 (FP9) or Flex 4.5 which targets FP10.2
The market penetration of FP9 is about 98%, but the most recent states for FP10.2 are old
I'm estimating that they're up around 90% now but still, I'm only guessing.
What are peoples thoughts on the market penetration of FP10.2? I don't want to loose 10% of my customers just because I'm using 'hot new features'.
Even if 10% of your customers don't have FP9, it doesn't mean you would lose 10% of them if you went with FB4.5. If your application is any good, I'd expect most just to install the player update, so your risk should be small.
