I am having problems with text wrap in InDesign CS5.

I am publishing a newsletter with several imported photographs in various groups on the page. Beneath each group is a text box caption. When I do a text wrap to import the main body of text the photoraphs are fine but the content beneath them is obscured by the wrapped text. How can I solve this issue?

For starters you can try a more descriptive subject line such as “Text Wrap problem”

It sounds like you think you should be applying the  text wrap to the text. You don’t…you apply the text wrap to the image. If you have a caption involved as well, group that with the image and apply a text wrap to the group.

            Second the descriptive subject...

Sounds like you have something like this (layered):

            Body Text

            Caption Text

Apply text wrap to the Picture frames and Caption Text frames.

            Body Text

            Picture (text wrap)

            Caption Text (text wrap)

You may also want to add the "ignore text wrap" option to your caption text frame
