    export to epub

I'm working in InDesign 5.5 and trying to convert a document to epub. After the conversion all of my images (except my vector images) are displayed. The vector images (boxes, background, etc) are replaced with a blank section while the normal png/jpg images display correctly.

What am I doing wrong, is there something I'm missing?

Render the vector graphics as images.

You could  experiment with building svg objects in the code. It all depends of the capability of your epub reader.

For EPUB 2.0.1 specification and SVG see:

          SVG specifications:

I don't know if there is an english version, but if you want, you could take references from the german website:

Or you could try SVG Kit for Adobe Creative Suite:

            Thanks for your reply

When I convert my vector graphics as images they display when exporting to epub, but then the image is only displayed after the section of the text and not underneath it (i.e. the text should display over the vector background).

I've managed to correct this by grouping all of the elements and then rasterizing the whole group, and it works perfect. But now I can't add a TOC. I've created a paragraph style for all of my headings that should be listed in the TOC and applied it to the text. I've also added this style to the "Table of Contents Styles".

Is it possible that the TOC can still work on my headings even though they are grouped?
