Having trouble figuring out what the issue is on this one. I'm using the GENUINE font, and when trying to create a title inside of Premiere, it doesn't work. It shows up as blocks/rectangles. If I use the font in any other program, such as After Effects (or Illustrator, Word, etc) it works fine. See screenshots below:
Using After Effects:
Titler is probably the most font-sensitive application (or mini-app), that Adobe has. I have encountered fonts that work fine in PS, AI, InDesign, AE and even older PageMaker, that flat killed Titler. This ARTICLE goes into a bit more detail, and offers a scheme to fix things, in some cases.
Thanks Bill, that article was very helpful.
So in my case, it seems like it's just a poorly written font? Not much I can do about it? It's listed as a True Type font rather than a OTF. Really a bummer that I have to use AI or AE for titles with that font.
