i think the problem is that your canvas do not change its size, so you should explicitly set the width and height properties of either swf, or canvas
I tried using that code and i could not get it to work. Also do i need to use graphics to display an swf? If it matters, i did not create this .swf file, it was given to me so i dunno if i can resize it and i do not knwo the specific size of it.
You should be able to just set an <mx:Image source="my.swf" ../> and it will appear in your app.
Are there any listeners on your component for progress and complete? Do you know 100% sure that it is loading the swf and just not displaying it? Is the content you need to see on the swf on frame 1 of the swf or is it possible that upon loading the swf it's stopping at a blank frame?
