Hello Jeff: I am having the same problem, I'm running the same system as you plus I have Safari 5.1.2. I was trying to remove the software from my Mac and I am unable to locate the address in my hard drive to do it, its been very frustrating to say the least, my local library has notified me there is an e-book waiting for download, I downloaded it and it never went to Adobe digital editions, it still sitting on my desktop and I cannot even open it so I sent it to the trash. I can't understand with my system being so up to date digital editions will not work, if anyone has an answer on how to remove this Adobe please let me know, Thanks, Gilbert Colomy (CA)
Hi Jeff and Gibert.. I had the same issue but knew that my system prefs were fine... I found the workaround... just below is a link that will take you to a page to do a manual download... both for Mac and Windows. I did it last night and was able to open my files properly in Adobe Digital Edition. Hope that helps!

Hello Stephanie: Thank you for taking the time to get back to me regarding
Adobe Digital Editions, I removed the software Digital Editions the other
day with the help from Apple support personal since I had not heard from
anyone. I appreciate your giving me a site to go to so I can try again to
download and be able to get library books again. Thanks again, Gilbert
thanks-- got it figured out and working now
Gilbert, How did you uninstall Adobe Digital Editions? I got a replacement Nook and can't activate it. I need to uninstall ADE, then reinstall it. I have put ADE in the trash (Mac Book) but that does not completely uninstall it. Thanks for any help you can give.
