I placed some files from a PC onto a flash drive and tried to copy them to a folder on a Mac. I used Copy and Paste (keyboard shortcuts, right click and selecte Copy/Paste functions, and also Copy and Paste from Edit in the menu bar). As I recall, I also tried drag and drop.
All of those methods had the same results; Instead of actually copying the files into the folder on the Mac, the Mac simply placed an alias for each of them into the folder. ??? I tried the same files and the same flash drive on another MAC, and they copied and pasted with no problem.
Is there a setting for that, or is there something wrong with the other Mac? Can someone shed some light on this?
