    After Effects Won't Open

    Mod.Yoyo Level 1

Hi all.  I recently got Adobe Master Collection and I installed After Effects.

Unfortunately, when I ran it, I got an error message saying that dynamiclinkmanager had crashed.

I searched the forums for a result and found two things:

      http://forums.adobe.com/thread/634929

That thread, which instructed me to delete the preferences folder.  I did, but upon startup, a new folder was created.

Also, my folder was titled '10.5'

I also found this kb page which seems exactly like my problem.

      http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/857/cpsid_85711.html

I allowed dynamiclinkmanager.exe into my firewall and also AfterFX.exe, but the same issue came up.

I couldn't find the QuickTime one (I don't think I even have it) and I uninstalled Premiere Pro, so that one doesn't matter.

I'm using Windows Firewall - is that my problem?

Any ideas on what to do?

      Thanks.
