I have a form that has 4 checkboxes.
Each checkbox has a dollar value when checked and then there is a total textbox.
What I need to know is the script that says IF(the sum of CB.1, CB.2, CB.3, CB.4=0 the totalbox is hidden) ELSE (the totalbox is visible)
I am new to Java script and can't find a good reference that shows all the syntax required for this.
Thank you for any help.
You can use the built-in method for calculating the sum with the values of
the other fields, and then add this code as the validation script of that
if (event.value==0) event.value = "";
It will reset the value in case the total is 0, effectively hiding it.
Works like a charm.
Thanks so much.
