I am troubleshooting an issue where our Reader 10.x installations are unable to update a PDF form.
Reader v10.0.1 & v10.1.1
Form in question is older, PDF v1.2
The field boxes are not even displayed.
Users where able to fill out this form with Reader v9.4.
Note: I have tried changing "View documents in PDF/A mode:" to Never
(edit>preferences>Documents>PDF/A View Mode)
It's really difficult to diagnose without seeing the form. Can you post it somewhere?
Unfortunately I cannot. The form in question is a government document with a "Protected" classification.
Here are some of the details in the Description (not that I believe they would be of much help):
Application: PSCRIPT.DRV version 4.0
PDF producer: Acrobat Distiller 3.01 for Windows
PDF Version: 1.2 (Acrobat 3.x)
Tagged PDF: No
This is a fairly old form, created in 2001. I can't know for sure, but I beleive it was created from a Word document.
