I want my page numbers to appear in front of everything else on the page. I have a longish document (120 pages), and the pages all have a colored background. Even though I put the page numbers onto the Master page, they appear behind everything, which means they don't show on all the pages that have the colored background. I looked in InDesign Help, and it says everything on a master page is in a layer, and you can change the order by moving the layers around. I only see one layer on both the Master pages and on the normal pages, and the normal pages does not have the pagination listed as an item in this layer! Does someone have the solution?
Thanks so much!
Master items always appear at the bottom of the stack.
Create a new layer and put the page numbers there.
