John T Smith Dec 12, 2011 12:08 PM (in response to Michael Stehly)As far as I know, the CS2 ability to go direct from PPro to a DVD was removed in CS3
So, to author a DVD, you must go from PPro to Encore
I personally never write MPEG from PPro... but that is because I prefer to feed a "raw" AVI file to Encore, and then have Encore use the "automatic" coding process to determine the best fit of the finished movie on a disc

However Export to Encore is easier and it lets Encore do the math for you.
