craigmetke Dec 13, 2011 7:33 AM (in response to Christopher_Engelhardt)Regardless of the amount of text I still wish to be able to:
- have two text-frames with the same copy
- both be linked to each other so if I make copy changes to one it reflects on the other
- both instances of the copy have different paragraph styles applied

P Spier Dec 13, 2011 7:39 AM (in response to craigmetke)Did you try doing it before you posted? It either works with linked stories, or it doesn't. There's no magic trick we can provide. The other method of linking text -- actually linking tot he source text file, is not going to help you here, either, unfortunately because editing the original will reformat the text on update.

Yes and no. InDesign allows me to have two independant paragraph styles applied, one to the parent and one to the child. However if I make edits to the copy/text in the parent and go to update the child, I will loose any style effects applied locally to the child.
:/
To the best of my knowledge I believe the most effective process for achieving my desired results is via scaling the percentage of the child text-frame.
Thank you all for your input, much appreciated!
