    Error Message in AE

    MayBest

      Hello again,

After importing a file into a new composition, I received an error message which read: After Effects Erros: overflow converting ratio denominators. (17::18).

Does anyone have any idea what this error message means and how it can be fixed?

      Please help.

I hoped to get you part of the way there, but no luck.  Mylenium -- a very frequent contributor here -- used to maintain a list of AE error messages on his web site, Mylenium.de.  Perhaps he still does, but I couldn't find it.  I might be blind.

No, it's gone (and I'm not gonna explain the million reasons, in case you wonder; sorry).

We need more info. This error is usually coming either from a bad source footage file (damaged, quirky CoDec etc.), a leaking effect that has problems with its internal math or some other stuff that may involve certain calculations like 3D layers, text and what have you...
