Want to understand using Reader to manipulate GIS PDF exports

      This is a Reader question.

We export GIS maps to pdf files and make then available online.  I've heard that the GIS layers are preserved in the pdf file.  Can Reader users manipulate those layers (e.g. on/off, stacking order)?

Also, since I have Acrobat Pro installed on my laptop, and I don't think I want to install Reader, how do I test Reader capabilities with these map pdfs?

Probably looking for a link to some basic Reader tutorial that includes layered pdf files.

      Thanks
