I display a list of full screen images in my app. When the swipes from one image to another, the next images takes a second or two to load. How can I avoid that and ensure the images are cached and ready before the use views them. Ideally it should cache the previous 2 and next 2 images in the list.
I've googled and found references to this topic but unable to figure out exactly how to implement it. Would appreciate if someone can provide or point me to a working sample/example of pre-caching.
There is some free code on the net called bdement.imagecache which workes very well for this type of use. Otherwise there is also some code which previews thumbs while moving over List/tree etc. regards aktell2007
I found this one based on your reference.
I'm fairly new to programming so I was not able to pick up what is written in there at first glance but I will give it a try and see I'm able to figure out how to use it for my case.
There is also another way to PreCache through Html-Java Applet onto the computer which works fine as well, but is operating without the viewer knowing which could get you into trouble as not everybody wants to Cache large Image files !!!
