1. Re: Javascript console doesn't show
GKaiseril Dec 19, 2011 8:40 AM (in response to Bill95722)Do you have the Acrobat application open?
What changes have you made?Have you applied updates or had updates applied?
Have you installed Reader?
Have you upgraded to newer major version of Acrobat?

2. Re: Javascript console doesn't show
George_Johnson Dec 19, 2011 8:43 AM (in response to Bill95722)Is this when you're using the form in LiveCycle Designer in Preview, in Acrobat, or Both? If you open the console (Ctrl+J), are any errors shown?

3. Re: Javascript console doesn't show
Bill95722 Dec 19, 2011 9:48 AM (in response to GKaiseril)Yes, Acrobat is open, editting the form in LC.
Changes? I have rechecked the Preferences options to confirm the console is enabled. No changes to Acrobat otherwise that I know of.
All updates applied.
Thanks

4. Re: Javascript console doesn't show
Bill95722 Dec 19, 2011 9:50 AM (in response to George_Johnson)Yes, using LC in preview. Haven't tried CTL-J as the console window always opened automatically on an error before.
I will try ctl-J.
Thanks for the hint.

5. Re: Javascript console doesn't show
George_Johnson Dec 19, 2011 9:55 AM (in response to Bill95722)The usual advice is not to reply too much on the preview mode in LiveCycle Designer for serious/reliable testing and debugging. You might want to post this to the LiveCycle Designer forum. They may have more experience with the problem you're experiencing.

Bill95722 Dec 21, 2011 7:04 AM (in response to Bill95722)Tried ctl-j with no results both in Acrobat and while in LC.
I will try the LC forum, thanks to all for trying to help.

7. Re: Javascript console doesn't show
GKaiseril Dec 21, 2011 12:28 PM (in response to Bill95722)I would save the form as a PDF and then open the saved file with Acrobat.

8. Re: Javascript console doesn't show
Bill95722 Dec 21, 2011 12:59 PM (in response to GKaiseril)Have done that many times.
Open Acrobat - Open form (pdf) - start LC - edit fields and code - LC preview to check work - save form - close LC and Acrobat
Repeat
Alas, no luck.
