I am clipping images in photoshop CS4. The background is transparent. I select the image via the paths box. I bring it into ID CS4 via copy/paste. It comes with a white box with it that I don't want. I need the image to overlap with other images. I'm putting together a catalog if that helps the scenario.
Dont use copy/paste.
Save the image as a photoshop file, and then use file>place from within InDesign to get your photos into the layout. This will preserve your transparent background.
NEVER EVER copy/paste from Photoshop to InDesign.
Save as PSD and use file place.
Oh…and one more thing. This is an InDesign forum…everyone needs InDesign help.
Use a more appropriate subject title next time please.
