I use Windows Vista (yeah, I know) and am trying to download newer version of Adobe Reader. I currently have Adobe Reader 7 and my Cisco Valet router may have a compatability issue which may be causing me a lot of problems with my internet connection. I'm not even sure which new version I should be trying to download but am trying to download Adobe Reader Version 10.1.1. I even tried uninstalling Reader 7 and Lord knows I'm not a computer geek. If anyone can give me some advice I'd really appreciate it.
Reader 10.1.1 is the latest one only. Just check once if Reader is running then kill it and then try to uninstall Reader 7 via Add Remove Programs
If that doesn't help in uninstall of Reader 7 try link http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall
and after that install Reader 10.1.1 via link http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
I hope this helps
Use the Task Manager's Processes tab to check if AcroRd32.exe is running; end it if it is.
Yes, you should uninstall Reader 7 before installing a much newer version. You wrote that you tried - was it successful?
