I put together a short film in Premiere that requires special effects. The guy that is doing it for me in After Effects lives several states away. What is the most effecient way of having him do the effects? Should I simply export the entire film and send it to him as a "flat file" or does he need the premiere files as well as the video files? Final size for that would easily be 20 GB.
You could send a Blu-ray disk (or two) with all the media, assets and project files on it. Then he has everything you have, and all he'd need to send back is the AE project, which will easily fit in e-mail.
Thanks for the answer! Does he need all those files? I guess I'm trying to figure out if he can do the same job with just a high-res copy of the video.
You'll have to ask him. I can only say that I would prefer to have everything.
