I was using iMovie but really messed up my video files with interlacing after I added a transistion (known issue apparently) so I purchased Premiere Elements. I was disappointed to see that it had export settings for everything Apple except for AppleTV.
I tried taking the iPad export option and changing it to different/higher quality settings but it's still blocky. I'm trying to get the best picture quality from the footage coming in from my Canon Vixia M41 to play on my AppleTV, iPad and iPhone. Does anyone have advice on how to accomplish this? I'm not versed in the more technical details of video editing so all of the little settings in the options overwhelm me honestly.
Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm using PE10. Thanks!
As the ideal specs for Apple TV are 1280x720 mp4s, try using these specs for your output.
Although your output will only be as good as your input. So make sure your project is set up properly to interface with the AVCHD video from that camcorder or any output is going to look crummy!
