1. Re: how to convert 1 color image to 1 Cyan Plate Film!
acresofgreen Dec 26, 2011 12:08 AM (in response to luck_lesson)I probably shouldn't reply to this post because I have no idea what 1 Cyan Film Plate Printing is. Is this related to Cyanotype? You can convert an image to Cyanotype with a hue/saturation adjustment layer by selecting Cyanotype from the drop-down in the Hue/Saturation adjustments panel.

luck_lesson Dec 26, 2011 12:43 AM (in response to acresofgreen)Dear!
Sorry it's not the right requirement I am anxious for. What I need is to convert 1 color image to only 1 Cyan Film Plate when printing with the Color Separation. It means I need only 1 Cyan Film Plate with all the details from the color image. Hope you and others can understand it and help to solve it.
Thanks a lot and I am looking forward to hearing from all.
My best regards,
LUCK

Convert to Lab and copy the L channel; make a new CMYK document and paste into the C channel?

Gernot Hoffmann Dec 26, 2011 2:37 AM (in response to luck_lesson)Image > Mode > Grayscale
Image > Mode > Duotone > Monotone
Load e.g. Pantone Process Cyan
Adjust curve for optimal contrast
Much better results can be achieved by Duotone,
using one spot ink and additionally black.
I'm not sure about the question either.
