I remember having seen this a couple of times here at the forum. I believe the solution was to recreate the user profile.
I understand from your PM messages that the issue is not fixed yet. Unfortunately I do not know what exactly you have already tried.
If I were in your situation, I would try this: http://support.microsoft.com/fixit/
If that also does not fix the problem:
- uninstall Adobe Reader
- go through this procedure: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Fix-a-corrupted-user-profile
- resinstall Adobe Reader

Hi ,I tried exactly what you said in the forum some time ago .I entered regedit ,fallowed the path: HCKU/software/Microsoft windows/current version/explorer/file ext./.ink ,then a right click and I deleted “open with list” .When I downloaded Adobe Reader Again ,I had the some problem.

It's always a good idea to do a registry backup before messing with it.
