I have attempted to install Reader X, I simply run the default install package.
During the install I get this error:
Error 1327.Invalid Drive: Q:\
There is no Q drive on my system.
I hit Ok and I get Installation Complete and I'm directed to the Installation successful webpage.
However I can't find Reader X anywhere on my system. PDFs are instead still opened by PDF-XChange PDF Viewer (which I wanto get rid of but can't until I have another working PDF reader.)
I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit.
You may want to try the following:
Run this fix from Microsoft: http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall
Uninstall Reader using Add/Remove Programs
If you want to reinstall Reader, download it from http://get.adobe.com/reader/direct/
Is there any folder redirected to any other location on your computer? Please check if 'My Documents' or 'My Pictures' folders are redirected. If they are redirected then disable that redirection and Then try install of Reader X.
