Hi - have installed Adobe Reader as prompted by e-books.com, registered etc. then purchased my books and went to download them. Once the file (book) has downloaded, Adobe Reader gives me this error message:
Error getting license. server communication problem : E_ADEPT_URL_SIGNATURE_ERROR
I found the error message in one of the Adobe "help" sections but it doens't make much sense to a non-techi like myself.
Anyone can assist please?
I have a Kobo if that makes any difference
The message says that there is something wrong with the digital 'handshake'
that takes place when a website and Adobe try to communicate. This could
be caused by an error in the ebooks.com's authentication protocol, or with
Windows software that won't let the site connect to Adobe.
If you're using Windows 7, you'll have (to get help?) to check the security
settings as the first step in resolving the 'issues' that Win 7 has.
You'll end up having Windows 7 settings allowing communications with that
Hope this helps!
Thanks, I uninstalled and reloaded everything and now the books are downloading. Any ideas how I sync to the Kobo? ADE doesn't seem to have an obvious "sync now" button
