After creating a package in InDesign 5 and then closing it, a user tries to rename the package folder and gets an error that the folder or file is "open in another program". Sometimes, closing InDesign releases the folder and allows it to be renamed. Other times, the file remains locked even after closing the program. Usually the lock releases after a while, and she can rename the folder.
Before posting, I installed all available CS5 updates, but the problem still occurs. Is there a way to prevent this, or a simple way to release the file?
I think this is caused by the "Open Recent" history list. I've always just waited becasue I've not been annoyed enough to dig deeper, but I wonder if setting the count on the open recent list to 0 would change anything, other than to be really inconvenient if you use the list.
I tried setting the number to zero, then closing out of InDesign and opening it again. The list was gone as expected, but the issue still occurred. Thanks for the suggestion, though.
