I am kinda new to After effects and I am sure there are some tutorials that explain this. I just rendered a 3 minute movie and the output file size was 30GB at 1080P and it took 6 hours to render. Obviously that will never fit on a standard DVD. My question is probably simple, but what size would work best for a DVD and still have great quality (Or at least good) and not take forever to render.
The best option for going to DVD is to render to a production codec, sounds like you did that, then compress the file using Encore or other DVD authoring program for DVD or BluRay. The only other option would be to open you AE project in Adobe Media Encoder (providing you have a new enough version of AE) and render directly for DVD there. There are presets.
