Is it possible to get the people who capture text in MS Word to use a right indent tab, Instead of multiple tabs, until it looks sorta ok on the screen?
That will happen right after we achieve world peace. Should be any day now.
Also a pointer to GREP for dummies would be nice
No such thing as a dummy who can use GREP, but I found Peter Kahrel's primer very good. It's available in a variety of e-formats from O'Reilly for about $10.
In the short term, has anyone got a GREP command for me? It seems like one of the ones that come on the original custom list
Thought you said you'd figured that one out.
"multiple tabs, followed by an open parenthesis, a digit and a close parenthisis and changing to right indent tab and the found"
\t+(\(\d+\)) and ~y$1
Sorry, I said unsuccessful, just wanted you guys to think I hadn't tried

Sorry. missed the "un."
How close were you? Did you know/rememer that you need to "escape" the parentheses to find the literals?
Really, get Peter K's book (I bought the PDF version, but it comes in other e-reader formats now, too).
Exactly my problem!!, just like those high school formulars you gotta have a close bracket for every open one.
