Hi there! My DH and I both have Nooks (we have seperate B&N accounts, so the devices are authorized under different e-mails). To transfer to a Nook, ADE has to be authorized with the same email as is on the B&N account. My question is this...does every login to Adobe digital editions count as one of the six authorizations, or is it just the computer? We have to authorize / deauthorize to be able to transfer items to our e-readers. I don't want it to say we have used all our six logins after we do this six times. Anyone know how this works? Any insight would be great!
Each Nook has a small ID file embedded in it with its B&N account
information. ADE will read that file to determine what device it's dealing
with, and if you authorize it to ADE, ADE will remember its ID. The next
time you connect the Nook to ADE, it 'should' remember it and it won't
count as another 'activation'.
What about from the computer's end? If I authorize ADE to my email, and then let's say my sister wants to use it with her device so we deauthorize it from my login and use hers. Then when she's done I deauthorize hers and lig in with mine again. Does that count as two authorizations for me if they are on the same computer?
Yes, it does. ADE keeps track of the accounts.
