    removing children ?

      hello, a newbie question please:
I have an intro page with a number of sprites, movieclips.
When the user clicks "enter", a new page is loaded which covers up the old one.
Should I at this stage, as a matter of good housekeeping, remove all the children on the initial intro page, or can I just disregard them from now on ?

      thanks for any advice

It's a good idea to get rid of things if they aren't going to be used/seen again. That Enter button especially since it may still be active/clickable despite being covered. Try hovering the area where it is after the new page loads over the old one and see.

You might be better off having the old page as a loaded movie and just replace it by loading the new page in its place.
