Dialoge box size PS CS5 / Mac

    LDMartin1959 Community Member

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere and I missed it...

I am using PS CS5 on a MacBook Air. Some of the dialoge boxes are too large to fit the screen properly. I have tried resizing them manually by grabbing the corners but that doesn't seem to work. Is there a setting somewhere that I can change to force the dialoge boxes to fit the screen resolution and employ scroll bars as necessary?

      Thank you.

Do you have your display set at the native resolution in OS X's preferences?

Not as far as I know. If the vertical screen height doesn't fullfill the system requirements, you'll have to live with it. some Windows and panels are simply designed to a specific minimum size...

Marian, the default and maximum resolution for my MBA is 1366x768, which is what it is currently set to.

Your display does meet the minimum system requirements—if barely:

                  Mac OS

                  • Multicore Intel processor
                  • Mac OS X v10.5.7 or v10.6
                  • 1GB of RAM
                  • 2GB of available hard-disk space for installation; additional free space required during installation (cannot install on a volume that uses a case-sensitive file system or on removable flash-based storage devices)
                  • 1024x768 display (1280x800 recommended) with qualified hardware-accelerated OpenGL graphics card, 16-bit color, and 256MB of VRAM…

If the Dock is getting in the way, go to System Preferences under the menu and set your prefs to hide and show the Dock automatically.

Thank you for the information. But since I hate having to chase the dock, maybe I will just move it to the side of the screen. Althought that is not my favorite place for it, I think I would prefer that to auto-hide.

Well, I can't stand the sight of the #*^! Dock, so I keep it permanently hidden, that's why I had no qualm in making that suggestion.
